YSL Babydoll Mascara Review

HELLO! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I’m finally on my Summer break and I am trying to spend as much time with my family as I can, before I go back to Sixth Form in September. I am going to Centre Parcs with my family this Friday and I will be taking pictures for my blog, which means there will be a ‘Travel Edition’ post coming soon! Today’s post is going to be a review on the YSL Baby Doll Mascara , have any of you guys tried this mascara?

I received this mascara for my 17th birthday this year from my parents, which was in June, but I wanted to give it a proper try before I give a review on it. Firstly, the price…it is £25 pounds for this mascara, which is expensive. But, it is the best mascara I have ever had. Before I asked for this mascara for my birthday, I looked at other people’s reviews on it and some of them wasn’t great, which put me off a little bit. But just because some people don’t like it it’s not going to put me off giving it a try, I’m so glad because I love it!

The formula for this mascara is dry, which is why some people don’t like it because they find it hard to work with. But I actually don’t, yes, if you put on too many coats then it gets clumpy, but that’s the same with any mascara. It’s just that this mascara is super pigmented and dry, so you don’t need many coats at all, I only use a couple! Linking to this, I have the mascara in black, and it really is black, I usually find that the color isn’t dark enough in other mascaras. But this one has a dark black color which I love. The packaging is beautiful to say the least. The gold and the read text go so well together, it looks classy and stylish. The actual wand is rubber, which is long with small bristles, but by having small bristles it gives the lashes more definition and color, as it coats the lashes with more color.

Also, I use this mascara with the Benefit BADgal Lash for my bottom lashes, as I find that the YSL one makes my bottom lashes too clumpy, so I use the Benefit one instead, which I also love. I don’t like having too much mascara on my bottom lashes because they often get stuck together, as I have lots of little lashes.

This is the finished look! (BTW, ignore my ugly eye brows! I haven’t been able to have them waxed because of the acne treatment I was on) Overall, I love the YSL mascara because it adds so much color, definition and length to my lashes. I really want to try one of their new mascaras now! Thank you for reading, lots of love,
