My Top Five Brushes

Hello! How are we all? Today’s post is going to be about my top five brushes, it doesn’t really have a time period because I suppose it is just over time that I have liked these brushes. I’ll leave links to where you can buy at the end of the post, here we go!

ALL BRUSHES

So here are all my top five brushes, as I said I have brought these brushes over time. I have had the original Real Techniques brushes for quite a long time now but they are still really good. I got the Spectrum brush in my February Birchbox, you can see my un-boxing/review here. The other two I have brought a couple of months ago.

Firstly, it is the Real Techniques Buffing brush. Even though I mostly use a beauty blender to apply my foundation, there are some days when I want to use this brush. I like the result that it gives and it really helps to make sure that all the foundation is spread across the whole face. I also like the firmness of this brush because it helps when buffing in the foundation to the skin, which gives good results. However, if I am having a bad skin day then I won’t use this brush because it can come off as a little cakey. Apart from that I love this brush! The other brush is the Real Techniques lip brush, I find that using a lip brush to apply lipstick gives more control on how precise you are and how bold of a color you want, instead of just applying it from the bullet. Also, it is the perfect size to carry around in your makeup bag, so if you want to touch up your lipstick during the day then you can whip this little baby out, and boom!

Another Real Techniques brush! This is one of their brushes from the Bold Metals collection, it is the number 200. I use this brush to blend out my eye shadow because it is just the right size and shape. Also, I absolutely love the packaging of this brush, it is just so pretty! Which is the same for the Spectrum highlighter brush which I got in my February Birchbox and I was so happy, I love getting new brushes! (Well, who doesn’t??!) Anyway, I use this brush to highlight or wipe away baked setting powder, as it is not too big or too small. Another thing is that the bristles are so soft and I love the color, it looks so nice in my brush pot on my dressing table.

MAC 266

Lastly is this Mac 266 brush, I use it so much the logo is rubbing off!! I love this brush, it is probably one of the best brushes I have brought, this is because it is perfect for filling in eyebrows or just creating the outline for them. Even though this brush is on the expensive side it is defiantly worth it, and Mac say that their brushes last a long time so I hope they are right!

Thank you for reading! Do you have a particular brush you love? Lots of love,
